Manga sex?

Just kidding. Got news a Japanese publisher is interested in acquiring the rights to CAPTIVE MATE. Woo hoo!

Surrender the Night is now out in print in the novella, Lady Jaided's Virile Vampires.

I know I haven't posted in a long long while. Reason is it's Bonnie. That ... person... has taken over my life. Yes, that's right. Bonnie has pushed me down into a small dark corner where I have no voice anymore. She got a new agent a couple of years ago who is dynamic and assertive and Bonnie is now writing dark paranormals as well as her historicals. Bonnie sat me down and had a little talk.

She said, "Sorry Blair babe, but you have to go. I have no room in my life anymore right now for you and your erotic romances. Buh bye."

Dumped not by a publisher, but my own damn muse. Sheesh. What a way to go...

Bonnie told me that someday if she has time, she'll let me use the computer again. Gee, how generous of her. I may just sneak out when she's not looking, just like Cinderella did when she rebelled in my first book, CINDERELLA'S REBELLION.

Watch out Bonnie. I may be down, but I'm not gone. Not by a long shot.

Captive Mate & other news

Hi, been a long time since I posted. I finally got to edits on CAPTIVE MATE, my werewolf erotic romance with the werewolf tensome. Should get news in the next month on a release date. This is my story about a werewolf who forces his mate to acknowledge her wild side. It's a bit of a variation on the fairy tale of Little Red Riding Hood.

For those who expected SURRENDER THE NIGHT, my vampire story, to be released in print this summer, I apologize. Ellora's Cave changed the dates. I will let you know as soon as I have more news. Happy reading!

Romance Junkies Review

For Surrender the Night. Thanks, Tracy!

Lily Marchand turns twenty-one today which means tomorrow, she’ll begin Turning. Lily has waited impatiently to become a vampire and anticipates her sharper fangs among other things. Maybe she’ll finally feel like one of the family instead of an oddity. There’s something that sets her apart from them and Lily hopes her initiation will put an end to her feelings of isolation from those around her. In her Coming Out Ceremony she’ll lose her virginity to an older male vampire. The purpose of the ceremony will be to awaken her vampire senses and open her to the erotic world of their lifestyle, which includes orgies.

Lily isn’t too sure about the multiple partner thing but is definitely ready to embrace her sexuality. She’s stunned and deeply aroused to find Adrian Gray, their leader, is the male who will initiate her. However, Adrian not only deflowers her, he bites her. Among their people, biting is only involved in the ritual when a male claims his mate and creates a bond that can’t be broken. Lily is outraged; no way is she tying herself to some domineering man for all eternity when she wants to explore her new world.

Adrian has also waited for Lily’s Ceremony and can’t wait a moment longer to make her his mate. He has no problem using sex to convince her to bond with him after seeing her desire for him, but in the end must convince her they have something more permanent than simple lust. Lily has no idea what lay inside her or the change their union will bring to their people. She must go on her faith in Adrian that, with his love, everything she’s ever dreamed of will come true.

The anticipation of what Adrian was keeping from Lily and why Lily stands apart from everyone else made for an exciting climax in SURRENDER THE NIGHT. Blair Valentine expertly weaves the paranormal with erotic romance and gives fans of the vampire genre a story they’ll want to read more than once!

Another review for SURRENDER THE NIGHT

This one's from The Romance Studio. Thanks so much, Janalee! I'm glad you liked my book!

Lily Marchand is finally old enough for her Coming Out. Lily will become a full-fledged vampire and she can hardly wait! She will be able to go into the bars and participate in wild vampire orgies. Now all she need is to have sex and her Coming Out Ceremony will be complete.

When Adrian Gray, the head vampire, chooses not only to initiate Lily, but claim her as his mate, Lily is angry. Now, how is she ever going to experience wild sexual encounters and do the vampire nasty? Lily is very special, and boy, is she in for the shock of her life!

Surrender the Night is by author Blair Valentine. Ms. Valentine took a paranormal premise and gave it a good hard vampire twist! This is not your usual vampire story. Oh no, Ms. Valentine created an extremely fresh and decidedly different kind of vampire tale that you just have to read to believe. Ms. Valentine gives a whole new meaning to the saying, bite me. Ms. Valentine's writing will leave the readers breathless and clamoring for more! The characters and their dialogues are snappy and fast paced. The only things you will not like is that the story ends too soon!

Adrian has waited a long time to claim Lily. He is drawn to her full-figure and sexy appeal. Together, Adrian and Lily will set the sheets on fire, while giving the readers the best ride of their lives! Lily holds an uncommon place in Adrian's heart and he will let no others have her.

This reviewer loved and highly recommends this book. To all the paranormal lovers that are looking for a totally different type of vampire tale, that will throw you into sexual overdrive, you need to read this vamped-up story! SURRENDER THE NIGHT IS OUT!

My first vampire quickie! Here's a review from Just Erotic Romance Reviews. I'll post more later. Thanks Contessa, glad you liked it!

Lily Marchand can barely control her excitement. She is finally of age for her Coming Out – to become a full-fledged vampire! Now, Lily will be able to participate in blood drinking in bars and wild vampire orgies. But first, Lily must sip blood and loose her virginity to an older male vampire in the Coming Out Ceremony. After Lily discovers that Adrian plans to not only take her virginity but plans to make her his mate, Lily becomes very outraged and defiant.

Adrian Gray has been patiently waiting five years for Lily’s Coming Out Ceremony. As leader of the vampire world, Adrian always has the right to take the virginity of any female vampire at her Coming Out Ceremony and he plans on being the only man to satisfy Lily’s desires. Adrian feels the only way to protect Lily is by making her his mate because once her secret is discovered; it could possibly end her life.

Whew! This little blazing, hot “quickie” will set your blood on fire. The way Adrian and Lily interacted sexually melted the pages like hot butter. Readers, I would suggest keeping a tall glass of ice water and/or your significant other handy because you will definitely need it! All her life,Lily has been dreaming about becoming a vampire and having the luscious freedoms that come along with it. She is determined not to settle down witha mate after her Coming Out. So, it was only natural for Lily to fight against Adrian as he tried to talk her into becoming his mate.

But no matter how hard Lily tried; she could not become sexually turned on by anyone other than Adrian – which left her very frustrated. This is a fast paced read, but it’s a pleasing story nevertheless because Ms. Valentine fittingly describes the feelings of Lily and Adrian as they struggled with their desires. The only flaw I found with this book is that it ended too quickly. Enjoy! Contessa Scion Just Erotic Romance Reviews

Reviews, as promised

“This is a warm, witty, fun book to read. Ms. Valentine has written a book that gives thought as to what would happen to the characters in our fantasy world if they jumped from the pages of the book. This is a class A book. Definitely a keeper. It made me laugh out loud on a number of occasions." Coffee Time Romance, Cherokee

“Cinderella's Rebellion is not your ordinary fairy tale. Cyn is a woman meant to be independent and on her own, she wants to explore everything, and especially her sensuality, but Derek wants her back in her book. Derek is sinfully delicious and wickedly sensual and will use those aspects to convince Cyn to go home. There is a definite comical aspect to this book and readers will find themselves laughing out loud at some of the characters antics. Blair Valentine has penned an extraordinary book that puts a new twist on a traditional fairy tale. “ The Romance Studio, Angel Brewer

“Ms. Valentine take on this great childhood fairy tale is fraught with humor and just a little bit more spice than ever. Her characters are bold, fearless and full of wit that it had this reviewer laughing from start to finish. Her innocent yet seductive Cinderella is both amusing yet strong to withstand Derek’s machinations. His sole duty is to get her back to her story and what he doesn’t expect is to neither fall in love with her nor find out that sometimes you just can’t judge a book by its cover! Her erotic passion is full of tenderness as well as sensual delight!! Her plot is full of wonder and enthralling humor that this reviewer found hilarious!! This amusingly entertaining book to enjoy on a rainy summer day! Full of wit, multidimensional characters & a clever plotline full of spice that will make the reader sit up and notice. Ms. Valentine is a suburb writer that shows much promise and will delightfully entertain the readers. “ Love Romances, Dawn

“CINDERELLA’S REBELLION is, without a doubt, the quirkiest, most original tale I have read in years. The minute I began reading this novel, I began smiling, and soon I was laughing out loud.” Romance Readers Connection, Angela Etheridge
